Cook Up Custom Emojis in Emoji Kitchen

Cook Up Custom Emojis in Emoji Kitchen

With so many emojis out there, you’d think there would always be one that says exactly what you mean in any given situation. Well, Google wants to make this a reality, and with their new Gboard mobile keyboard Emoji Kitchen, you’ll get to take advantage of emojis in fun and exciting new ways, like, for example, blending two emojis together. Let’s go over how you can use Emoji Kitchen.

To start, all you have to do is search for “emoji kitchen” and click the option for “Get cooking.”

Create New Emojis to Share

When you open Emoji Kitchen, you’ll see the following:

  • The options Combine and Explore
  • Two emojis, preselected and added together
  • A Randomize button and a Clear all button

With the Combine option, you get to generate a blend of two specific emojis that you choose. For example, if you select a crab and a disco ball emoji, you’ll probably get a crab that was built to party. Kind of weird, but okay. Another fun one is selecting the pizza emoji and combining it with the tractor to create a very American Gothic-coded pizza-faced farmer.

You try finding that on the emoji panel.

When you click Explore, you can select an emoji and browse the available combinations using that emoji.

You can also use Emoji Kitchen on an Android device through the Gboard keyboard. Tap the emoji button and select one to see all kinds of generated suggestions in a row at the top of the keyboard.

What kind of emojis will you cook up with Emoji Kitchen? It’s fun to experiment and try out new ones, and you might find it’s the next hot thing in your office, provided it’s appropriate for what you do.
